Well, I am gettin glaid off in October and
I am going to freelance form home for a
bit and see how it goes. the thing is, I
am going to have Hannah home with me. I
am excited, but a little bit nervous.
First off, she can be a real pain to deal
with, and there are days I am totally
thankful for daycare. Secondly, I don't
know how I am going to deal with a lack of
adult interaction. Thirdly, I really DO
plan to WORK on some prjects from home, so
i am worried about how I am going to be
able to get anything done with hurricane
Hannah being needy and all. I would love
some advice from those of you who are
doing it. I have been working in medicine
for so long, this is going to be a huge
thing for me to switch. It's so hectic at
work withthe phone ringing all the time
and tracking down drug seeking patients
etc, I feel really---I dunno, needed?
Useful? And at the end of the day I have
all these satisfied patients. How do you
get stuff done without loding your mind?
I never really pictured myself in this
role.

You CAN do it. I work from home and do all
my work in th evenings when they kids go
to bed- yes really! it's heard and i have
to dedicate a good few hours to just
knuckling down (inbetween checking ehealth
)
but it's so cool to be able to work from
home

Does she take a nap during the day? maybe
you could get a lot done at that time if
she does, and once shes in bed at night.
What job is it you will be doing?

She still naps twice a day, thankfully. i
am going to be working on finishing my
cookbook, writing content for my website,
and developing gluten free products. Also
hopefully doing some consulting work for
newly diagnosed celiacs. Oh and getting a
pedicure!!

I put an ad up on the CSU website for
part time sitter. I will see what
happens. If I can have someone there
three mornings a week or something, then I
think i would be fine. That would give me
like 6 hours of work time each day, plus
time to play too!
