I recently had my period on time and perfectly normal, my question is that I have been spotting for 9 days after my period now. The spotting is very light and ranges in color from light pink to brown. I have no cramping or any other problems but have never spotted this long before and wondered if it was normal or something i should be worried about?

Vaginal bleeding 9 days after your normal menstrual period is called metrorrhagia (spotting). In fact, any vaginal bleeding that is not a period is called metrorrhagia. Spotting can be either functional or organic in nature. Functional spotting is often due to the disturbed balance of the sex hormones. Organic bleeding is often due to an organic lesion in the uterus such as an infection, polypus, myoma etc. You SHOULD visit your gynecologist about this in order to diagnose the cause of spotting and to begin any treatment necessary after diagnosis.
