So i am babysitting my friends son
tonight. They are taking lexy to the
hospital , for the past 3 days she has
been throwing up and had bad diarrhea she
hasnt even kept the pedialyte down. SO i
told them it would be best to bring her to
the hospital , even if they went to the
clinic theyd prob just send her to st
hedwigs anyways since she is most likely
dehyrdrated. I hope her poor babies ok
, But it sounds alot
like rotavirus, joseph had it at 8 mths of
age so i told her just to go ahead and
take her in so they are going right now at
9 at night to take her rather then waiting
another night. When our kids were born
they didnt have that rotavirus vaccine
like they do now unofortunately.

what is rotavirus? I don't think I've
ever heard of it.
its a stomach bug that most infants
through to age 3 get, telltale sign is
diarrhea then vomiting. My son had it at 8
mths old, he didnt keep a thign down so
after the weekend it was 3 days i took him
to the dr and they sent us to the
hospital, they test there poop for the
virus. it is highly contagious like super
contagious, before we came home from the
hospital my mom had to wash everything he
had touched so he didnt get it again. Now
my friend just dropped there son off, her
husband said their daughters been sick
since they went shopping and that was
saturday! so its been 5 days of vomiting
and diarhea! Im watching leland overnight
for sure, i dont know im sure they will be
in the hospital overnight at minimum.
