I have been through episodes during the 3
years I have had my IUD. First it was
HORRIBLE migraines.. next hot flashes,
heart palpatations, lactation, next hair
growth... now excessive sweating and my
hair on arms/lets/face/ is growing fast
and crazy.. I am getting this thing out on
Tues sept 4. I hope to feel better. Get
rid of my acne etc... back to normal..

I've had mine for 4 1/2 years and until
the last couple months, I was told I had
depression, was bipolar, etc. I don't
believe it because even when I was on Depo
I had severe depression and gained 50
pounds while controlling my diet and
exercising. Mirena helped with the weight
gain, but no one told me that I would
lactate! I never heard of such of thing
until I talked to a Physicians Assistant
and she told me about these "lesser" side
effects. All of which I have and never
knew. She recommends I don't use hormonal
birth control. I was never even on birth
control until AFTER I had both my kids. I
just want my tubes tied and done with. I
too have had horrible adult acne,
sweating, and my PCP blamed it on
depression and wanted to pump me with more
chemicals. No thank you. I just want to be
clear of it all and back to my old
self....
