Trileven28 vs. Necon28 - birth control pills the same? Posted: 09-02-07 17:42pm
I have been taking Trileven28 x 5yrs. I
get my birth control by mail every month.
This month I was sent Necon28 to replace
my regular BCP, but never had it before.
I looked online to see if the ingredients
were the same but they are not. I know I
do not do well with a stronger BCP. Is
this a stronger BCP and do you think this
will affect me any different?

Trileven 28 and Necon 28 have the same
estrogen component (ethinyl estradiol) but
the progesterone component is different
(levonorgestrel in Trivlen 28 and
norethindrone in Necon 28). Doses of both
BCP (birth control pills) are equivalent
so you can use Necon 28 the same way as
you would Trileven.
