I feel tired EXTREMELY tired no matter how
long i sleep (could be my insomia). I feel
even more exhausted after i eat. I get
thirsty ALOT. But water never relieves my
dry mouth and throat. And I kind of have
general back pain... I think lack of
concentration... light headed. I'm not
sure what it is. Are these symptoms of any
kind of diabetes?

Yes, It Certainly Could Be Diabetes Posted: 10-12-07 10:02am
All of the symptoms you describe (except
for back pain) are symptoms of
uncontrolled diabetes. Go to a doctor and
get a blood glucose test. If due to lack
of insurance that's a problem, find a
friend with diabetes and take the test
yourself. If fasting blood glucose is over
140, you definitely have diabetes. At that
point you need to get to a doctor
regardless of your insurance situation.

Since you're in Canada, you should be able
to go to a neighborhood clinic for free,
and they should be able to tell you
immediately with a 10 second blood test.
All of the symptoms together are signs of
diabetes, especially the thirst.
