Scoliosis

I think I might have Scoliosis and want to know - how can I get it treated? Mad

I have had Scoliosis symptoms for about 4,5,6 years now and it's really starting to annoy me as I think it's getting worse!

I have one hip lower than the other. One shoulder more predominant than the other. The right side of my back is more muscular than the left and my right pec is smaller than my left.

Recently I have lost weight - since I haven't been eating english food (haha!) and have been eating a very healthy Japanese diet. I have started to notice my curvature more now and my shoulder imbalance is almost embarrassing for me now. It's obvious in the mirror - maybe other people don't notice --- my girlfriend does Sad

Also, my lower back is starting to play up a bit - small pain sometimes when I bend over!

I am in Japan so it is difficult to get cheap health care here.

I just wondered if anyone has some advice they could give? Please? Smile

Hi Alex

How ya doing ? Hope your having fun in Japan .... and I bet the food is much better than over here...

Scoliosis, means curvature, where your spine, bending it out and causing the bulging of your shoulder blades, hip etc ... and if you think you may have it, then you serioulsy need to see a doctor for treatment before it does get worse. Depending on the severity of the bulging, do they path the treatment. THey may 'brace' you up, which brings the spine back in line, or surgery.

I looked some info and treatments up on the net, and found this to be informative.

I hope you find it helpful.
Please keep in touch, and let us know how you're getting on.
