Okay...but I bet I can find your personal
info in about five seconds with all the
info you've provided. Careful, Guest may
start sending you "tracks" if he can, too.

Tracks? Lol. The teacher used a bible to
teach part of the class. We had to dissect
and identify the two separate stories of
Job based on prose vs poetry as one of our
midterm questions.

Why do you care, exactly? Why do all of
these things make his words any more or
less viable? Secondly, just in case you
want to say "Oh he's not Christian so
that's why he dares to say such horrid
things!" one of the sources I used (in
fact the first one I used) is written by a
christian man!!! So even people on "your"
side know these things to be true.
The COLLEGE operated the course. He works
for the COLLEGE. That's what most college
professors do you know, work for colleges.
The COLLEGE funded the course. Duh.
As for the "people's" beliefs, for one, I
don't know who you mean. Secondly, (going
out on a limb here) the beliefs of the
college's administration vary widely.
Catholics, atheists, jewish, everything.

Guest is attempting to deface my professor
and say that he is not qualified to say
such things as he is not Catholic, so he
can't possibly know anything "real" about
American History. That because he is not
Catholic, he will do all he can to "twist"
history to make our nation not look like
"a good christian nation" as most people
are misled to believe we were founded as.

Was there a God in the minds of the
forefathers? Yes, if you actually read the
sources you will realise that many of the
forefathers were of mixed religions,
combining deism, catholicism and other
variants of christianity. Some were very
spiritual, some were not. It is important
to note that when they used God as a name,
they were NOT referring to the christian
god.
Secondly, deism is in no way incompatible
with christianity. You'd know that... if
you bothered to read the sources. I, like
a college professor, provide you with
surface information. For you to truly
understand the day's discussion, I expect
you to do your reading. Otherwise, you
miss out. Deists do not deny the existence
of Jesus, and call him a great man. They
do however deny his divinity. His message
still holds true, and as many christians
tell me, it is the message that matters,
not the debated aspects of his life and
divinity.

I like what someone else
said, so I shall expand upon it!
1. Gluttony: Why aren't all christians who
are anti-homosexuality and very vocal
about it, why aren't they just as offended
at fat, GLUTTONY people?
Example: "Oh Lord please
help these obese people! They are such
sinners!! How DARE they consume so much
food? I cannot condone such a sickening
lifestyle! They should really be put in
jail for committing such a heinous sin!"
2. LUST: They're doing fine hating the
LUSTful people (as the abortion debate
reveals).
Example: "You like sex!?
Sex is bad! Sex is for making babies, and
ONLY to be done by married couples! All
contraception is evil since it interferes
with God's Will!!"
3. Greed: I don't see many christians
protesting against rich CEOs being GREEDy
and taking tons of money. Some people do,
but I don't think they protest because
it's a sin. They just know it's wrong.
Example: "Arrest the
CEOs for being greedy! They're going to
hell for being greedy! How can someone
live like that!? They should be forced to
have signs on their lawns saying "I am a
greedy sinner!'"
4. Sloth: And you sure don't see
christians parading around all offended
about SOLTHful, lazy people.
Example: "How dare you
sleep in to noon and not have a job!!! Oh,
God! This person is SO horrid!! I cannot
condone your lifestyle!"
5. Wrath: Not a whole lot of christians
protesting people who are WRATHful, though
it may happen... I've just never heard of
it.
Example: "Your sins with
doom you to hell!! How dare you get angry
at other people! You are clearly mentally
ill, that's not natural!"
6. Envy: ENVY, anyone? Nope. Don't see
christians discriminating against people
who want things they don't own.
Example: "You
sick-minded person! You want the same TV
as your neighbor? How sick can you get?
That's disgusting, you sinner! Your
children can't go to school with my
children! I would never hire you for a job
at my place because you're envious!"
7. Pride: And PRIDE... So many christians
are ruled by this sin it makes me laugh.
And National Pride, something many
christians have, "GO USA!!" that's just as
evil you know.
Example: "What!? You're
proud to be an American? How dare you!!!
That's shameful in the eyes of God!!!
Don't listen to that sickening,
sin-encouraging song: "And I'm proud to be
an American, where at least I know I'm
free" - That song is sung by devil
worshipers and SINNERS!"
Nothing I have said is extreme really. The
above examples are exactly how some
christians react to homosexuality (which
isn't even one of the main 7 deadly
sins!!!!) yet they DON'T freak out about
most of the main 7, except really for
Lust.
If you think the above reactions are silly
and you are one of those people who are
against homosexuality, then maybe you need
to do one of two things: Either put as
much energy into protests against these
sins as you do against homosexuality, OR,
relax off of
homosexuality!
The worst part of this is that everything
on this list involves choices humans make.
They either choose to do these things or
not. Homosexuality is something people
are BORN WITH. It's kind of insane to
condemn people for what they didn't choose
for themselves. GOD MADE THEM THAT WAY.
It's like hating someone with red hair.

Have you seeing a marriage certificate? Do

you know God is not in accordance with
man-man women-women for marriage.
I think in order for gay marriage to
happen civily they should begin at least
by taking out all the religious aspect of
it if you can. When you see "in accordance
to God" what does it tells you? That
marriage is a religious
institution.
That's like saying money is a religious
institution.
I live in Massachusetts and our
Constitution says marriage is between two
consenting adults. That is why gay
marriage is allowed, because it is
described as between 2 people, it doesn't
say which gender.
Gay marriage being legal has not affected
one single person in this entire state
negatively.

people attracted to the same sex do have a
choice. Perhaps not to which sex they are
attracted to but the choice to have sex
with the same sex or not, that is their
choice.
