No Doctor Appt. Till the 28th Posted: 09-09-07 09:22am
Hello everyone, I'm new to the pregnancy
forum. I just found out I was pregnant 2
days ago. So I called my doctor to see if
I could get in to confirm it and they
can't get me in until the 28th They said there are
no false postives and I have no doubt I'm
pregnant. Still isn't that a bit strange?
I went up to the office and picked up my
prenatals (which are the size of horse
pills lol) and a list of over the counter
drugs I could take. I have so many
questions and it's really pissing me off I
have to wait that long! Anyone else have
to wait that long? Anyway, congrats to all
the future Mommy's out there!

That's normal, sweetie. I found out I was
pregnant at the end of November, and
didn't have my first doc appointment until
sometime in late December, and my first
ultrasound at the beginning of January.
They'll most likely have you fill out a
ton of paperwork, draw some blood, take
your weight and blood pressure, and maybe
give you a pap. They might also schedule
you for an ultrasound to get a definite
idea of how far along you are.

Thank you, I'm glad to know it's normal
it's just fustrating. It's such an
exciting and diffrent time in my life. I'm
really anxious to know my due date. I've
been playing around on websites with due
date calculators lol it says 4/25/07 on
everyone. I can't wait!

Yes, it's normal. I got an appointment at
5 1/2 weeks pregnant but only because I
was having some spotting too at the time.
I think my OB's office usually waits until
7-8 weeks along to schedule; that way, you
should be far enough along to do a
transvaginal ultrasound and see the
heartbeat.

Yeah hun that is very normal.. I found out
I was pregnant March 3rd and I didnt have
my first appt. til April 25th so I had to
wait 7 weeks But congrats and
