20 Week Dr. Appt! Posted: 09-10-07 13:49pm
Hey Yall!! SO I'm JUST getting back from
my Dr's appt! I make 20 weeks tomorrow but
my fundal height is measuring a little
over 20 weeks (which is totally
expected).
I've been feeling the bambino soooo much
lately, it's sooo surreal! I think I'm in
denial about having another being growing
inside of me again! It's the BEST feeling
knowing that soon this little bean will be
running around with Oni!!!
Soooo, I only gained 3lbs this month.
WHich brings me to a total of 8lbs. Now,
many people would LOVE to have gained ONLY
8lbs in total at their 20 week mark, but
I'm upset.
When I was pregnant with Oni, by 20 weeks,
I had gained no less than 25lbs. I was
DOOMED to gained an excessive amount of
weight. I just REALLY don't want to go
over 30lbs for this pregnancy.
The Dr. was being veryyy good about
complimenting my weight gain control, but
I'm still scared that I've gained too
much. I mean, 3lbs in one month, that's A
LOT. Isn't it supposed to be like a lb a
month until your last 2 months??
Anyways, I got to hear the heartbeat!!!
Which I hadn't yet. I'd seen it, but never
heard it!! THe stupid lady took FOREVER to
find it and it made me kinda nervous. But
the Dr told her where to put it and there
it waaas!
Tonight, Baron is going to take some belly
pics!!!!!!!!!! I've got NONE!! Maybe I can
try to take some now on this web cam!!!
I've got some AWESOME ones of Oni that I'm
going to put on later this week.
OHHH!! And I forgot to mention, I have to
get a filling!! My dentist found a cavity
after I had Oni and with all the drama of
the wedding, her birthday, & moving, I
never got it filled. Well now it's
bothering me and I HAVE to get it filled.
I don't want it to absess and cause me to
go into pre term labor!
The thing is...I HATE needles and I can't
get Nitros Oxide!!!!!!! POO!!! I'll just
have to man up and get the needle in my
gums! My mom is going to
do the shot part, so maybe that'll make it
a lil better....or NOT!
yay thats awesome, so when will you be
getting an ultrasound? time seems to be
flying by its crazy. I cant wait till that
little baby is here and we can all see
pics, I cant wait to see belly pics too !

Congrats on hearing the heartbeat! When do
you find out what you are having? Could
solve all the baby name drama soon
I hope your filling goes ok. I hate
getting fillings done. Especially if it
is sensitive afterwards

I had to have a crown done last week and I
hate the drill. Hate Hate Hate it!!!
Needles no problem, it's the drill that
makes me crazy. My dentist put this stuff
on my gums that numbed it so I didn't feel
the needle at all, not even the burning
from the novicaine. It was pretty sweet!
MP3 player cranked so I couldn't hear the
drill and I was all set. I'm not sure if
it was a orajel/ambesol type of thing, but
it worked wonders.
Congrats on your appt. 3 pounds isn't
that bad. I'm sure you look great. Glad
things are going well.

Thanks yall!!
About the u/s...I'm not sure. But if I had
to guess it would prob be around 25 weeks
(just to be sure). Or maybe even the month
after.
I forgot to mention that he was almost
INSISTING that I be induced! I had to
literally argue with him and completely
refuse the induction.
I am totally against having foreign
chemicals put into my body. Especailly if
there's no medical reason to. I could see
me being 41/42 weeks and no sign of the
baby coming. Then, I *MIGHT* consider
being induced. But NOT because the
hospital staff might be on holiday
vacation! You've got to be kidding me!!!
He knows I'm planning on going completely
drug free again, so WHY even mention
induction?!?!?!?!?!
Oni'd Dr was out of town when I delievered
her. I had some woman I had never met
deliever her. So I could care less about
that.
As for the cavity, it's sensitive NOW,
which SUUUCKS!! ANd I know that once you
*notice* you have a cavity, it's in bad
shape! My mom said she'd fill it, even
though I was in the 2nd trimester. She'd
just use a "non inhabitive anesthetic."
Not to sure what that means, but I trust
her. SHe said she DEF wouldn't do it once
I got into the 3rd trimester so I'm prob
gonna get it done this week.

you're crazy! an 8 pound gain is awesome,
especially since you said you were at 25+
with oni around this time. it sounds like
you're doing great!
my personal limit is 25 pounds, but i'm
really hoping for more like 15. so far so
good, i'm at -3 at 10 weeks.
i can't believe you're halfway there!!!
this is just flying by!
i can't believe they've already mentioned
an induction, that is just ridiculous.
good luck with the filling! i've never had
one so i don't really know what it
entails. i'm sure it'll be fine though!
can't wait to see belly pics!

Thanks B!!! I think I'm just being HELLA
paranoid because of my weight gain with
Oni.
My Dr said I was allowed 30lbs, but I'm
shooting for 25...no more.
I know, I was totally SHOCKED when he
mentioned the induction!!!!!!!
