Chris, Gabe, & I went to look at an apartment today! It's a 1 bedroom loft apartment overlooking downtown/the river. HIGH vaulted ceilings, combined kitchen/living room, HUGE bathroom, walk in closets, washer/dryer in unit, comes with a fridge, stove, dishwasher.. BIIIIG bedroom.. These apartments are BRAND new. They made the old old high school building into these gorgeous loft apartments. There's a theatre in the building, a community room, a fitness center, & a computer lab.. & The best part is? We can afford it!!!! We put in our application, the lady processed our paperwork, & is sending verifications to our employers & bank, & she's getting back to us in 2 weeks! I am seriously SO stoked.

I lived in an old converterd high school once. It had HUGE ceilings and HUGE closets. The bedroom was bigger than my living room is now!

Thank you!! I'm so happy. I can't wait to get out of this falling apart, filthy trailer. The bedroom is just about as big as the living room, & the closet is SERIOUSLY huge. It has a storage closet attached on the inside of it! Chris wasn't so sure he wanted to keep on sharing a bedroom with Gabe, but I mean, the bedroom is PLENTY big enough & we just have to roll with the punches & get what we can afford, ya know?

You know... I put my son's crib in the GIANT closet. Then, later, when he got a bigger bed, I put his bed in the bedroom with me and all his toys in the closet.

Just a thought. Is your closet that huge? Smile

Its pretty damn huge.. But maybe not THAT huge... Lol! Either way, though, there's a LOT of room!

Congrats it sounds way better than the trailer! Unless this closet has a window in it, I wouldnt put the cot in there - just a thought.

That sounds so nice! They made the old middle school into an apartment complex and they have the theater of some sort in there too. It's also on the river and it looks super nice! So I can only imagine your place! Envy!

the last few weeks we were in our house in IL liam slept in our walk in closet in his pack n play. hes to little to have clostraphobia or ne thing. That sounds like an awesome apartment! they didnt offer two bedrooms? I cant wait for yall to find out and you can post pics if you get it!!

I'm happy for you Krissy! How much would ya'll be paying? It soudns super nice! I wish we had places like that. there are apartments and condo's on the beach but I can't afford them!

Well im just thinking it wouldnt get much fresh air in a closet with no window in there, get all stuffy which isnt good.

wow Arcadia thats so great. I am soooo happy for you. My and my hubby just moved into our big nice expensive apartment this past weekend. Its exactly like yours! I am still so happy about the move. We come from shacks and ghetto so this was a step up for us. We have worked our buts off. Congrats again you deserve it! Post pics so we can see your new place
