Does it matter what kind of cocoa butter
you get? Are there some that are better
than others??? Yesturday me and my
boyfriend went shoppin and stopped by
family dollar and I seen cocoa butter for
like $2 so I got it, but I was wondering
if it is still gonna work as good as
others... Its palmers cocoa butter
formula with vitamin e and it says it
heals and softens rough dry skin... Is
this the stuff the right kind?

It depends what your using it for. If
your using it for dry skin then it should
work just fine but for stretch marks and
such I would get something else.
Sometimes it's the cheapest brands that
work best though because all your paying
for is the name!

That palmers is what I have. I ordered it
off of tv for way more than that though,
and it is working wonders on my deep
stretch marks. Dont miss days though!!

How often would you suggest putting it
on?? I was really tiny before I got
pregnant (you know like with models-the
nasty boney hip deal... Like stickin out
3 inches further than you tummy). Does
being skinny make it easier for stretch
marks to appear?

No being skinny doesn't have all that much
to do with it, it has to do with the
elasticity of your skin and some people
are prone to lots of stretch marks and
other people get none! I would say use it
as often as you want it can't hurt.
However you being skinny might make the
stretching of the skin feel very tight and
dry so it will help with that too. When I
had autumn I got like 2 stretch marks on
my tummy and 4 on each hip and thats all.

I use it once a day, after my shower. Rub
it on your hips, your legs, your
boobs...Places that are bound to get
bigger!!

Thats what I wanted to know too...Are
stretch marks more prone to appear on
women who have smaller builds...Or is it
just luck if u dont get them..I was pretty
petite before I got preg even tho my
weight fluctuated...And was worried that
because there wasnt a lot of "fat" per say
on my bones to work with that I would get
a ton of them...But luckily so far I only
have some on my boobs, and a couple on the
back of each of my thighs...Do u think ill
get more the bigger I get?
Also, I use vitamin e gel capsules on my
stretch marks that are on my boobs(i break
the capsules apart and use the gel) and it
works really well....So id def suggest
looking into vitamin e gel caps!

I dont know how to answer that.
Throughout my life I have always got big
and then small big and then small. So I
developed stretch marks. I had really
really light ones before I got pregnant.
Now I have them on my stomach, but you can
hardly tell anymore. I have them on the
back of my thigh, you can hardly tell, I
have them on my hips..You can tell!!, and
I have them on my lower back, you can
tell...Its just how your skin is...

I would suggest 100% cocoa butter. It
comes in a stick. I bought mine at
walgreens for like under a dollar!!!! I
use vita-k lotion on my stretchmarks and
it works real well!!!!!!! I have heard
from others that it works well too!
Vanessa, I am going to try out those gel
caps!!!! Thanks.

Hey that is what I use and I have hardly
any stretch marks! The ones I do have are
in places I didnt think to use it until
too late....Upper thinghs, butt but it
works really well....The ones I do have
are light....I got mine at dollar general
for 3 dollars.....I think once maybe twice
a day should be sufficient. But it worked
well for me....So hopefully it does for
you too. Plus it smells great! Lol

I was gonna buy some stuff on the stick
but I wanted to get something easier to
appy to my whole body, like just puttin
some goo on my hand and going crazy all
over, including my face... Do you know if
its really pore-clogging?? My face is
soooo dry and itchy, and I like the smell
of cocoa butter, so I put it on my face...

I dunno either cuz its really oily and
might cause u to break out.....I would get
a facial moisturizer for that.....Being
pregnant is enough to make u feel
ugly....U dont need bad break outs on top
of that! Lol

Im gonna test it on my face for a little
bit... See if I break out... But I
figured since its so good for skin, it
should be good on my face... Ive tried
facial mosturizers and they dont help the
flakey skin, it just helps make it not so
dry and itchy... Cocoa butter is soo
soft, and it got rid of the flakes
instantly.... I guess its worth a try
right??

I would do it in a place where you can
hide it with you hair, dont try it on your
nose!!

I've heard that drinking a lot of water
helps keep yoru skin hydrated, but I also
heard shea butter helps too, ive seen it
at wal-mart for really cheap. Ive been
looking to get rid of stretch marks myself
on my arms and legs, I lost a lot of
weight when I was younger and it left me
with them...They also fade too

I put it on my whole face.. But I dont
really mind if I have a few zits for
awhile, I never really break out that
bad... I just sit at home all day
anyways, and the people that come over
have seen me looking pretty sh*ty so I
dont mind if they see me with a few
zits.... And my face feels sooooo
great!!!

I just stopped caring... I used to care
alot about my makeup and everything... At
school I would have to make a stop at the
bathroom before every class to brush my
hair and fix my makeup... But then I got
homeschooled and just got lazy... I didnt
even have to change out of my pj's or take
a shower right away in the morning(my
bathroom is sooo cold in the morning). I
stopped wearing makeup and one day I
decided to put makeup on and my boyfriends
bestfriends girlfriend was like wow your
eyes look great, did you put eyeliner on?
I was like I dont usually wear any
makeup... She was like really? Wow I
didnt even realize it! So it made me feel
more confident about never wearing
makeup... Lol she didnt even know I dont
wear makeup... She just though I didnt
wear eyeliner.
