Allergy Or Normal Effect of Antibiotics? Posted: 09-11-07 01:42am
Hi, I was just diagnosed with tonsillitis
the other day by my doctor and he
prescribed me Abbocillin 500mg to take 4
times a day. For the first afternoon he
wanted me to take 2 at a time, so that day
i took 6, two at a time, at like 5, 9 and
then when I woke up at 2. Then today I had
1 at 7, 1 at 11 and one at 3, but I'm
starting to feel so sick. My stomach feels
very bloated and uncomfortable and when I
tried to eat lunch despite feeling very
hungry my stomach was not happy to have
the food. Now at almost 5pm, I still
incredibly bloated and very uncomfortable.
Is this a normal side-effect of taking
antibiotics or am I possibly allergic to
it?

Just to add to what I said above, I also
find that when I eat or drink anything now
it gets even worse.
