I'm kind of scared, I just realized that I haven't seen my cat in a few days *i know that sounds bad, but i've been going to school until 3 and then going to work and not getting home until after 9* so I didn't really notice it. My grandma came in my room and said "reese is down in the basement and he doesn't come up anymore"

he's been having these funny.. poops? Like, his stomach hurts him and he lets out a weird meow, and then he poops and it's really gross and sometimes he doesn't make it to the litter box, i'm just scared that he's going down in the basement to.. god forbid, die or something! I'm just thinking the worst, I dont want my cat to die! He's still a baby!

sorry I'm just worried!

He was acting te same way. about 3 or 4 days later we realized we hadn't seen him and we thought he ran away. I woke up one night smelling pee and couldn't figure out where it was coming from. the next day my sister went under my bed for something and found him dead.find the cat!

if he's got parvo and they catch it in time he'll be ok.. but if he's been doing it for a few days then.. Sad

GRRR i hope he gets better and just has maybe a tummy flu!

U might also want to think about other things.. when animals drink anti-freeze that same thing happens. (yeah sounds gross but to animals its quite tasty.. its actually sorta sweet. Yes ive tasted it. thats what happens when ur a car person lol. you can tell how concentrated it is by tasting it. the sweeter it is the more water your car needs. it cant hurt you.)

A long time ago, my neighbors left a BUCKET (yes, a bucket) of antifreeze out in their frontyard, & my other neighbor's dog drank it, & died. Awesome.

it's been more than a few days, this is going to make me sound like a bad person, but it's been probably about 2 months. we thought it was just his food, so we switched his food and it seemed like it was getting better, actually I haven't seen him having any accidents in a while, but why would he stay in the dark basement all day and all night for days and not come up, not even to eat. that's what scares me. i'm going to talk to my mom and we're definitely taking him to a vet, ill die if they have to put my cat down =/ i feel so bad for him. my mom just got off work, should be home in about 10 minutes and then i'm going to go downstairs and get him, i'm really nervous to go down there by myself, i'ma fraid of what i might see.

Sad

I dont think its Parvo then.. it usually kills the animal within a week or so.
It sounds personally like he may have Feline Leukemia Sad Rob had a cat named Meeko that did the SAME things. She had to be put down.

Im not trying to upset you.. just preparing you for the worse.

well, sandra was right, he has feline lukemia.

=(

they said he could live for 3 years, 6 years, 10 years, they just dont know. so we got him medicine to boost his immune system and were getting him kitten food to give him energy and stuff and so he'll gain a little weight.

Sad

im sorry baby girl.

I knew those symptoms sounded familiar.. But Meeko had to be put down about a month after he was diagnosed. He got to the point where he was just lacking any sort of quality of life whatsoever. It was for the best, tho. Now he's in Kitty Kat heaven and enjoying chasing all the *ahem* other kitties.

I am so sorry sweetie. I know how hard it is to have a sick animal. The meds will probably help and the kitten food will boost his energy some as well. Keep me updated, k?

Aw hope he'll be ok. Didn't you say before you have a dog too? It would be a good idea to get the pet insurance for them for any future vet costs.
