Ok, so I started my first pack of pills a
week AFTER I had my period (my doctor said
it would be ok, as long as I took them
correctly... it would just push my period
back a week). I got half way into week
three and I got my period (which was the
normal time of the month for me). I had it
for a few days (a tad short this month,
but I figured that was because I was still
on my "white pills"), and now it's gone. I
will be taking my second brown pill
tonight, but I have no period.
Will this even out as I continue into my
next few packs?
Is there a higher rate of pregnancy if I
have unprotected sex while on this last
set of pills for the month? I tried
reading about it in the little insert that
comes with it, but it's so hard to
understand!

I'm not sure about the brand you're
talking about but you can start taking
birth control pills at any time of the
month BUT if it is other than during your
period you wont be protected for the first
7 days.
If you've been on them for over 1 week
then the risk of pregnancy is low (however
effective your brand is) - it does not
matter whether you're taking the active or
non actve pills.
Also, any bleeding will level out over the
first few months, it's very common for
periods to change and/or get break through
bleeding

At least I'm not the only one who's never
heard of it. I used to be on Ortho Evra
LOW, and it made me so moody I couldn't
stand it. So I asked my doctor what she
recommended, and she said this microgestin
should be better. I've asked quite a few
people I know and they've never heard of
it either.

I actually just got pu to on Microgestin
1/20! It'e a generic for Loestrin. Also
like Junel Fe. They are all pretty much
the same thing just generic and different
brand names.
