I Need a Opinion.........please! Posted: 09-14-07 11:28am
I am 24 wk & 4days. Lately I have had
lots of itchyness down in my vagina the
past week and I also felt I had a bump and
now today I feel a slight burning when
urinating and when I clean myself I feel a
cut down on the edge of my vagina and
little spot of blood from the cut because
I checked to see if it was coming out from
the vagina or from the cut and the little
spot of blood comes from the cut I have. I
am having a little discharge
yellowish....What should I do? Could this
be normal? Don't know if it can be a yeast
infection or Herpes? Please help!

well i think that fi you had herpes your
OB would have been able to tell already
it nmay be a UTI or yeast infection so you
need to go see your doctor asap and get
checked out!
oh and the discharge youre haveing is
normal

Herpes can only be diagnosed when you have
an outbreak. So if she was not in the
middle of an outbreak, the doctor wouldn't
have any idea she had herpes.
This sounds like she has a yeast
infection. Yeast infections are really
common during pregnancy because you PH
level can change. The environment inside
your vagina is a delicate balance and if
that gets thrown off, with pregnancy or
antibiotic use, you can get a grown of
yeast bacteria. This is quite easily
cured.
Call you doctor today (the itching can
drive you mad over the weekend!) and tell
him what your symptoms are so they can
determine whether you should be seen today
or wait.

I did get seen at the doctor's today and
it was a yeast infection. Like Ingi &
the doctor said it is very uncommon during
pregnancy and it can come back. But I was
kinda questioning about the medication he
told me to take. He told me to take
Monistat 3 for the yeast infection I
thought we couldn't try that while
pregnant? And about herpes that is very
true about only being able to fine out you
have herpes is by having a outbreak
because they need to scratch it off to
take the semen out to the lab and tested.
So in this case I have to wait for those
results Thank

You can use Monistat while you are
pregnant. Now that you have had one yeast
infection you will be more prone to have
more. That doesn't mean you will have more
though. I have only ever had one and that
was 8 years ago. I just know that if my PH
levels change, I could easily get one.
I'm glad you won't be suffering all
weekend. Yeast infections suck!
