Uterus Fibriod! severe pain in my lower back, hips and legs! Posted: 09-16-07 16:31pm
please help!
i am a female, 25 years old and for more
than a year im getting severe pain in my
lower back, hips and down to my legs...
its too painful..
from 2 months doctors found that i have a
"Uterus Fibriod", and that its small in
size so usually they ignore such a
thing...
doctors and articles i read were
explaining that i shouldnt get a severe
severe pain with this......but i really
do.... so much
for the last 3 months i go 3 times weekly
to emergency for pain killers...
i donno what to do..???!!!!

not really sure... but at the present
moment I'm having the same pain symptoms
as you - except I've only had mine for
about 6 weeks now. My chiropractor told me
the pain in my lower back, hips, and legs
is from my sciatic nerve being inflamed or
pinched -- which is a result from a
bulging disk in my lower back. Have you
seen a chiropractor about your lower back
pain? Or have you just seen a family
doctor and ER doctor? When I first started
getting these symptoms the first place I
went to was my family dr and he had no
clue but as soon as I went to the
chiropractor they knew and have really
helped me out a LOT!

Many women have uterine fibroids. They
usually don't cause pain unless you are
menstruating ~ then they can cause
terrible cramping and awful bleeding.
The pain you are experiencing sounds quite
a bit like sciatica like the previous
poster said. What does your doctor say
when you go in for follow up appointments
after your ER visits?
Just FYI, you will eventually get labelled
at the emergency room as seeking pain
killers. So don't over-use that privelage
of getting pain medication from the ER.
They will have your name and your picture
behind their counter - because you should
be seeking other help if you have such
sever pain you need to seek medication 3
times every week.
