Fish Anyone?

Do any of you ladies (or whoever happens across this post) keep fish as a hobby? If so what are some good online sites for aquarium filters and heaters?! My fishies need an upgrade.

i always always use PETCO.

Its where the pets go. ^_^ And they have reallllly good prices.

Also try Petsmart.com.. if you find a sale on there, print it out and take it to the store, they'll honor it and give you the same price.. and no shipping to pay for ^_^

I went to the petco site, and they had a sale at the time so I called the store to see if they had that filter.....but they don't carry the same things as the online store does, and they do NOT price match.

And we don't have a petsmart around here.

I have 3 sites up right now, and they each have a couple things in the cart....but I'm not sure which site to use Confused
They are all right around $50 for my things, plus shipping....or the 1 site is free shipping for $50 or more

All the pet places around me are too high priced. So I'm looking online to get a better price. Tho they always stick ya with the shipping. It's not something that I absolutely need right this second, because the filter and heater work (so far, they're really cheap ones that came with the set up) and my filter has died so many times and one of these days it's gonna die and I won't be able to fix it again. And the heater is not reliable and doesn't keep a steady temp. Thankfully these guys are pretty hardy.
They are Malawi Cichlids, PS. Saulosi to be exact. I've had them nearly 2 years now, and they still aren't full grown Evil or

Yeah, those things breed faster than rabbits. They are too common for my taste. I had to chose a fish I couldn't get around here. But I finally found someone online that had them. I'm glad I didn't give up my search tho, I love these guys.

My nephew had a baby bearded dragon. He was pretty cool. And as pretty as saltwater tanks are, I couldn't do it. I'd kill all the little Nemo's
I'm still trying to understand the freshwater system. Maybe I'll do saltwater in the next lifetime.

I do have a clown loach tho. I bought him a couple years ago to clean up my snail problem.

yeah me and trav went to this exotic pet store to look at mini pot belly pigs because i wanted one. he saw all of the scorpions and terantulas and wanted one of those first...hehe helllllll noooo!!!!!
so then he wanted a snake...once again...over my dead body. then we looked at the beardies and he wanted one of those. so i told him yeah since i could deal with a lizard instead of a huge snake or scorpion thingy Shocked

but bearded dragons are expensive
weve spent a few hundred putting the tank together...and we dont even have the dragon yet lol

My aunt has had 2 pot bellied pigs. Webster and Andre. She doesn't have them anymore, I forget why....maybe because they moved. But they were like dogs, they would go outside to use the bathroom and such. However they root like mad on anything they can Shocked

I've always wanted a monkey....but they can be very mean, so that changed my mind. When my daughter is older I want to get her a mini-lop. I used to always have rabbits and they are my favorite. I hope she's going to be an animal lover like me. So far things are looking good.

Beardies are pretty cool pets. They get pretty large (about two feet from heard to tail) when they are larger. Make sure you get the correct lighting in the (UVA AND UVB) and calcium dust their crickets to prevent metabolic bone disease.

Can you tell We are reptile people? Very
Happy

As far as fish go, my boyfriend is on a kick to get archer fish. Rolling Eyes He always wants something new.
