Facelift and having TN Posted: 06-20-08 11:14am
I met with my neurosurgeon yesterday
because I have TN on the right side of my
face and have scheduled surgery to have a
facelift. He said having a facelift may
aggrevate the condition but ultimately
left the decision up to me and my plastic
surgeon. He said because the surgery
involves pulling my faceand working on the
underlying muscles is the reason it could
aggrevate the problem. I am taking 600 mg
of Oxcarbazepine 3 times a day and it
seems to be controlling my episodes.
