Who Wants to See a Car Stuck In a Carwash?
Posted: 09-17-07 13:34pm

Yup I got stuck in the carwash. It was a stupid put your tire in the conveyor belt thing and my tires didnt quite fit. i ended up off the track and getting stuck. Also caused some major damage to the car. It was not fun. I had a complete panic attack. luckily the tow truck got it out but first they sent a Chevy S10 to the scene, um ya thats gunna get the armada out Rolling Eyes to add to it the tow truck guy made it go to far over the track causing damage to the other side as well.

this is the S10 driver, he was quite puzzled lol

That is awful! Did the car wash people not know that your tires were too wide for the track, or are they just not very bright?

omg... Dani they should have told you that your truck wouldn't fit!! there are supposed to be people to guide you onto it. they should have seen your tires were too big.

And guys.. usually those places have big signs that say they aren't responsible to damages to your vehicle during washing.

Sad

i dunno if this could be fought tho since they should have told you not to go thru.

the carwash ppl were rather stupid and rude. I filed with them and my insurance and now i have to wait til my insurance calls and tells me where to go to get the damage assessed. The carwas h lady was like didnt u read the signs they tell you some cars are to big. i was like ok first who knows the exact dimensions of their vehicle? and all it said was height not width. i didnt think my car was THAT big, its smaller than like a suburban.

and thanks marfa, i love my car! its wonderful until this happened.

yeah they definately better pay to fix that
if they had no signs saying the width of the car would be too big then they have to pay

they still should have had somebody there guiding you... and if they did, and they STILL told you to go ahead, thats THEIR fault. IF not, then its still negligence for not having people guide you.

wow, that sucks.

i have an embarrassing car wash story... i hit a car in the car wash! i was like 16 and it was my first time driving into a car wash, they never told me to put it in neutral. i knew not to press the peddles but i was in drive so i was rolling along quite nicely without the gas. i did hit the brakes (even though they did remember to tell me "no braking") but not until i'd already bumped them. when i came out the other side there wasn't a car in sight, so i left. a couple days later the police called because apparently i'd left the scene of an accident. so not only did i hit a car in the car wash, it was also labeled a hit and run! the other car had gone back around to the entrance which was behind the building. aside from crying at the police station, i don't remember what happened after that.

I am very sorry your car got damaged but i will say that i worked at a car wash for 4 years (it was my first job) If you pulled yourself on the conver belt without someone being there it is your fault, We had that happen and the guy actually had to pay for the damage to the car wash because of him not being patient and waiting for an attendant to guide him on!

lol there was a car trying to come in and i made my friend go tell them they couldnt n she was like y? then it hit her that o if that car goes thru its gunna hit us! shes not very smart.
Other dumb things shes said:
On the way to Jacksonville (north FL) we passed a boat that said key west n shes said " o i bet they are going all the way to Key West"

I have my car payment thru Fl choice bank and i was like i dunno what im gunna do when i move cuz i hate mailing checks n she said "they dont have FL choice banks up there?"
