Does Testicular Torsion Pain Go Away By Taking Antibiotics? Posted: 03-24-04 20:51pm
Last feb I woke up early in the morning
and suddenly felt pain and a lump in my
right side testicle which made me stay
awake because I can't sleep with the pani
that i'm feeling, I thougth it would just
go away after a few days... But then 3
days have passed it just gotten bigger
that's when I seeked medical help.
My first appointment with a doctor
said that it was orchitis, so he
prescribed inoflox(antibiotic) for me
within one week, after a week less pain
would occur and swelling stopped, but then
it didn't lessen in size yet. So I
decided to have an appointment with
another doctor, and prescribed me
cephalexine(another antibiotic) where he
ruled out that it was just an infection
same as the first doctor who said it was
an orchitis, but he ruled it out without
testing using an ultrasound. So a week
of antibiotics made the pain go away, and
now i'm at my 1 and a half month of
swelling of the testicle, the pain is
gone, but I think that my testicle isn't
shrinking that fast, and he also said that
I should apply cold compress which would
help it to shrink faster...
He also said that swelling will last
for 3 months in minimum... Is this
true?
To sum up
my pain in my right testicle woke me
up, with a lump and after that symptoms
like nausea, burning discharge of urine,
and mypenis would just erect at my sleep
with pain which wakes me up...
I've took up antiobiotics which
relieved the pain, now it's gone
now i'm at my 1 and a half month and
the pain is gone, but what about the
swelling how long is it gonna take place
to be normal?
Does pain involving testicular torsion
goes away when taking antibiotics, or does
it eventually go away after 2 weeks
because your blood vessels on that area
died?
Does orchitis cause swelling last three
months to be back to normal?
Coz if it does then i'm confused
between testicular torsion and
orchitis....
