Doc put my girl on prednisone for her rash
before they knew it was mono.
Is it good or bad to take this with mono?
It was a different doc that put her on
it.. not the same as the one that
diagnosed her, and she did not ask him.
So is this a yes or a no no with mono?

my son was put on that for mono becuase
his mono triggered a rare allergica
reaction to the virus called Stevens
Johnson Syndrome. check it out by googling
it. it's very serious in some cases.
anyway, the rash is hellashish -- itching
like mad and the reaction (not the mono)
put my 13-year-old son in the hospital.
short story is the pred... seems to be
helping the rash. the important thing is
that it be carefully and slowly
weaned...half dose after three days, half
dose of that for three more days, etc.
