Hi I am new to the forum and I have never
been on anything like this before
I have had bulimia since January, stopped
for 3 weeks this year but started again. I
feel like I can never stop it and no one
will ever understand me why I do it.
Does anyone else feel the same

Hello Lisa,
u can stop. I am entitled to say so, couse
I've been there and I have stopped
binge/purge/laxative story. If u follow my
story u shall see that the recovery from
bulimia is not very simple, but it is
realistic and yes, even simple in a way.

There Is Such Thing As a Better Life!! Posted: 09-20-07 21:46pm
Please read my post and update.. titled "I
Have Eating Disorder". I have suffered
from eating disorders for more than half
my life (about 16 years). I have suffered
from Bulimia for alot of those years. I am
currently getting help and am on the road
for a better life. It's easy for people to
say " you're new at this and you can just
stop". I think we know better. You NEED to
talk to someone!! Not necessarily a
professional (but preferred). The more
people that know the better. I ended up
coming out of the closet after my original
post (the very same day) and the support
system I had was INCREDIBLE! When I told
my husband I gave him a book that explains
the thought process behind eating
disorders. This helped him realize that it
was a problem. But please, tell someone.
Someone close or a professional. Make a
bet with me of who can go the longest
without purging. It'll give you something
to work toward...a BETTER life! Believe
me, this is NOT the way you want the rest
of your life to go. And the longer you do
this, the harder it is to stop. So how
about that bet?

I've had a bulemia for 5+ years now and
cannot control myself. I have been in and
out of various treatments and I have just
about given up on doctors and
psycologists, its just ME that is the
problem. bulemia has robbed me of so much
in my life i would give anything to just
wake up one day and be cured. but i know
thats not possible. i need some motivation
to help me take action towards health.
does anyone have any ideas/thoughts/
stories that might inspire me? i feel
hopeless
