Condom broke,gf had her period but now her next one is late. Posted: 09-20-07 09:31am
Alright, first off I'm a male. Me and my
girlfriend were having sex last month
before I went off to college and right
before I came the condom broke. Now she's
on birth control so we didn't worry much.
When we did it she was about 3 days away
from getting her period for that month,
and she got it. But now this month she's
a day late, but she's got her cramps and
isn't haveing any symptoms of pregnancy,
but we are both still scared as hell! Is
it possible that because we did it so
close to her period last month that, I
don't even know what I'm trying to say, I
think you understand, basically, could she
be pregnant now. We haven't done ANYTHING
since then, as I've been away at college!
Please help any feedback is great!

Relax. If she has been taking her birth
control pills, even if the condom broke,
she is protected. She had her period, so
it sounds like she isn't pregnant.
How late is her period? A day late? Did
she also start college? Has her life been
abruptly changed? These things can delay
an otherwise normal period.
If you and she are terribly concerned (and
it sounds like you are), have her take a
home pregnancy test to put your mind at
ease. That will stop you worrying
needlessly.

Since she got her period last month
there's a slim chance she's pregnant.
There's plently of reasons a girl can be
late or miss a period. I wouldn't worry
too much, being a day late is no big deal.

Ok, thanks. She started to take the
different color pill yesterdat (Wed.) but
she says she usually get's her period on
Tuesday. No she hasn't started college,
but she's been worked up at lot about me
being gone, and about volleyball (she's on
JV as a senior and not happy). So could
her worrieing and stress have something to
do with it?

Yes. And if she only just started taking
her sugar pills, her period wouldn't be
coming for up to 4 days. She isn't 'late'
yet.

She cannot get pregnant if she does not
ovulate. Birth control pills prevent
ovulation. She is not pregnant. You are
both stressing.
