L2-3 Thigh Adduction
L3-4 Knee extension
L4-5 Ankle dorsiflexion. Pain over SI
joint, hip, lateral thigh, and leg.
Numbness in lateral leg and big toe
through middle toe. Common reflex
deficits include internal hamstring reflex
and some deficit in knee and ankle jerks.
Also difficulty walking on heels.
L5-S1 Great Toe Extension. Pain located
over SI joint, hip, posterolateral thigh
and leg to heel. Numbness is often noted
in the back of the calf lateral heel, and
foot to toe. Difficulty walking on toes
may be noted. Ankle jerk reflex is absent
or diminished.
