Hi My name is Daniela. I am 30 weeks pregnant. When I press on a part of my leg (shin mainly) & release, the dent still stays there. Could anybody tell me what this is & should I go to the doctors?

Thank you Smile

What you are experiencing is edema. Your dr will be checking on it so you shouldn't have to worry. I had it with my pregnancy and the dr just checked it every time I went in. If you are really concerned then you can always talk to the dr at your next visit.

You should phone your doctor about this. You can call his office and ask to speak to his nurse. Tell her what is happening and she'll let you know if the doctor would like to see you.

Drink some water and put your feet up. Smile

she's right, it's edema. It's excess fluid built up in your limbs. Deff get your feet up as much as possible throughout the day to help with the swelling and try to cut back on the salt.....that is if you take in a lot. Salt helps aid in fluid retention.
