Q: 30 weeks - high risk to have a baby with cystic fibrosis

So both my doctor and the perinatal place called me today, but I was at school so I have no idea what they want me to do. I have to wait till they call back tomorrow. Sad

I'm guessing my doctor's sending me because I'm at a high risk to have a baby with cystic fibrosis. Does anyone know what sort of test they're likely to do? It seems kind of late to be doing tests since I'm already 30 weeks, but I'm not sure. Is there any tests that they do this late in the game? I'm just wondering since I haven't talked to my doctor about it yet.

If they haven't already they can do genetic testing to determine if your baby could have it but other than that I don't know of anything they can do.

So I am guessing you have already heard back from your Dr. What did they say? How was the outcome?

No I haven't heard back from them yet. I keep missing the calls because I'm not here. I'm playing phone tag with the nurse. Smile

They've done all the routine genetic testing, at like 12 weeks, and all those tests came out perfect. So I'm not too sure. I should hear back tomorrow for what they want me to do.
