IM A LITTLE OVER 9 WEEKS PREGNANT AND MY PAP SMEAR RESULT FROM MY OB VISIT LAST WEEK SHOWS I HAVE AN BACTERIAL VAGINOSIS INFECTION. THE DOCTOR PRESCRIBED ME CLINDESSE AND ITS A VAGINAL CREAM. tHE DOCTOR SAID IT WOULD BE OKAY BECAUSE THE CREAM WILL BE FAR FROM MY CERVIX BUT IM STILL EXTREMELY WORRIED. i HAVE READ THE PACKAGING ON THE CREAM AND IT ADVISES YOU NOT TO USE IT IF YOU ARE PREGNANT UNLESS REALLY NEEDED. i AM WORRIED THAT IT MIGHT AFFECT THE BABY STILL. hAS ANYONE EVER HAD THIS BACTERIAL VAGINOSIS WHILE BEING PREGNANT?? ANY ANSWERS WILL BE VERY APPRECIATED!

Well, you are pregnant and you have BV so the cream is really needed.

Your doctor would not prescribe something that would be harmful to your baby. And, trust me, you don't want your hoo-ha smelling like tuna fish your entire pregnancy, so you'll want to use the cream.

ps. Please don't post all in caps. Some people find it rude.

dont pots in all caps ok?

i had a bacterial infection when i was 10 weeks
i was presecribed medication for it as well (not cream though)

my OB told me that because if the bacteria she found when the baby is born im going to have to be givin meds during labor so that when she passes through the birth canal she doesnt get any of the bacteria

Extremely eHealthy
I had the same thing whenever I was 14 weeks pregnant. I took the prescribed medicine and my baby is perfect. I hope that it clears up soon.
