I have read in magazines that a lot of
spots can be due to bad diet-too much
fatty and junk foods. But my son eats
quite a healthy diet with lots of
fruit,fibre and vegetables. Of course,like
any teenager,he likes burgers and french
fries, but because my wife and I have
influenced him a lot,he eats them in
moderation. But he still gets a lot of
spots. My feeling is that hormones are the
biggest factor-at least in his case. I am
going through the 'male menopause' and I
am getting some spots for the first time
since I was a teeenager,and this ,too is a
time of hormonal changes. I had a
girlfriend once who had beautiful,clear
skin, but the moment her period was
approaching her face would break out into
really serious spots until her period had
passed its peak. So the hormone connection
seems clear to me. I am sure a bad diet
would probably worsen the acne, but good
diet is not enough to cure it.

Stress, as well. If he/you/anyone stresses
alot, it may also increase acne.
I'm 23, female, and really dont break out
around my period unless I stress over it.
Best thing to do is relax, wash your hands
often to rid any grease on them, and wash
your face softly. My sister uses all that
acne product stuff, and she hasn't ever
really gotten rid of hers.. I never have,
and haven't really had any at all.
You know, here's something i wanna share.
I've been having terrible acne problems
since i was 13-14, and im 22 now but still
having it from time to time. I've been
seeing tons of local dermatologists around
here and most of the meds they gave me
worked, but half a year after, my acnes
would pop out again. so for now i had
stopped seeing any dematologists, coz i've
been spending so much on it so now its
time to buy my arts stuff for my univ as
well. and there was this one week, the
whole week, i was eating only a meal a day
because i overspent my poclet money buying
my art materials. and during that one
whole week when didnt eat, i found out my
acne gets better bit by bit. so it mustve
been all the food that i ate all these
years. maybe too mucn oils or something.
so now im just gonna be more more picky in
the food i chose.
but im as thin as an aneroxic, if i eat
salads, n etc, all the time it wont help
me gain weight! arghhh dilemma!

you can eat healthy and still gain weight.
You should get your weight or desired
weight and divide it by 2 that's how many
grams of protein you should have. And the
average person should eat about 25 grams
of fiber a day. If you choose lean meats,
nuts, legumes/vegetable proteins. your
skin will not only clear up but you will
also gain weight and if your working out
at all it will most likely turn into
muscle mass. If you right down what you
eat for a week or two and add up your
protein and fiber everyday as well as how
many calories your eating. I'm sure
you'll notice a difference.
Also diet does have alot to do with acne.
Greasy, high sugar, chemicalized, over
processed foods tend to make people break
out not to mention have no nutritional
value.

acne.

Diet may cure acne for some people. If
you eat a traditional diet, whole foods,
etc., you may see a significant change in
your skin. Pasteurized skim or low fat
milk depletes Vitamin A. Raw whole milk
is a better choice. Animal fats are
better than vegetable fats. You need
probiotics to aid in digestion. The
Weston A. Price Foundation has been
researching conditions related to modern
diet for many years. Acne is rare in
countries that don't have a McDonald's on
every corner.

I always found that too much processed
food and fizzy drinks make my complexion
slightly worse.

Well speaking from experince my face has
always had spots. I was just like your son
always ate everything good and bad. I
tried all kinds of creams, cleansers &
pills to clear it up. I've even tried that
Pro-Active stuff, All that just never
worked. So out of the blue one day I
started drinking 9 to 10 cups of water a
day and everybody so the results. I never
noticed it until everybody said something.
My face became very clean & clear. I
ate what every I wanted but also watched
how much I ate. I mean I also had plenty
of healthy food to. I know its hard to
drink that much water a day, but if you
make yourself do it your body gets use to
it and then it can't go with out it you
will start to get dihydrated, and no
matter how much juice & soda you drink
to get reid of the dihydration it won't go
away unless you drink plenty of water. So
give it a try. Good luck.
