I've had this problem since I was a kid. I
really do not think it is lack of sleep
cause I've had it as a kid and now into my
adulthood. What is it and how can I get
rid of it? Is there a name for it? I've
tried using that Hylexin cream and it made
it lighter, but I am wondering if there is
some type of surgery or something else
more permanent to get rid of it.
I am a 30 year old male in perfect health,
most people think I party all the time and
or think I am on drugs cause it makes me
look older than I am, I was even told once
that If I didnt have the bags under my
eyes I could pass for a young 20 year old.
Please Help!!!!

Me, too.
I use a stick cover-up to change the blue
color to a more natural peachy tone that
matches my skin.
What's the color of your skin?

Is this a genetic situation or are you the
only one in your family with this? A lot
of times the dark circles around eyes are
form allergies, it causes discoloration.
Have you been to an allergy specialist?

If you're from the Mediterrenian countries
you may have this as a result of the
region. A lot of people in that area do as
I'm from over there myself and have dark
circles under the eyes. Fortunately I'm a
female and I can use a highlighter (make
up) to cover up. You may be able to do the
same ... very light and very little but it
goes a long way.

Dark discoloration under the eyes is often
from blood vessels that are close to the
skin and cause the dark circles.
Allergies, lack of sleep, and dehydration
are some factors that will exacerbate the
dark circles.There are cosmetic products
that can help. I am not aware of any
cosmetic procedure that will eliminate
them. I have used a product by DHC, a
Japanese cosmetic company, that is
effective in fading the dark circles. The
product is called Eye Bright. It is much
less expensive than Hylexin and it worked
better than Hylexin for me. You may want
to try it.
I, too, have had dark circles under my
eyes since I was a child. I have used tons
of products to try and hide them or fade
them. Eye Bright has been the best. Over
time the circles will be greatly reduced
and faded. You can see a difference in
just a day or two of use but the effects
are greatest with continued use. I spoke
with a cosmetologist at the company and
she told me the product has caffeine in it
and that is the active ingredient. It
makes sense as caffeine will vasoconstrict
blood vessels, shrinking them thus they
are less visible. You may be able to
request samples from the company.
