I am all new to this just newly being Dx with MS but, sure I have had it for awhile. I have been doing plenty for research during my awake greeving process. So, at least I put those amost 48 hours of no sleep to good work. Looking foward to learning more and how to best cope with this disease. Unfortunatly. One of the main MS drugs have way to may side effects that I already have the disease for. Tyroid, low white count (immune-compromised system from MRSA bacteria). So, guess I will have to be one to face my relapses with a grin.
Looking forwad to meeting you all. Shame it has to be this way.

I went to see an MS neuro specialist this morning and he said he doubts very much at my age I have MS. But, what I so have is hardening of the brain arteries. So he put me on a baby asprin a day and said that the white matter lesions (3) that showed up could possbibilly be small strokes going un-noticed by me. The asprin should help the blood flow thinner through the sclorotic arteries now and avoid any other damage (we hope).
In in nut shell he is not saying I to not have MS, all he is saying that there are other things wrong with me that could be casuing these syptoms. He is running blood work. He said because of my age, it is uncommon to get MS at this time, be not impossible.
Hugs,
Carrie

I've read almost everything on this web site and have never felt such caring and knowledgeable people. I'm interested in keeping up to date with everyone's messages, but I'm not sure if I'm doing it right. So once again, I'd like to join, and I'd like to know how. Any help would greatly be appreciated.
Thank you all in advance.
Sincerely,
Ginamarie
