I'm a 16 year old male who has never had a
girlfriend, never had sex, never been
kissed, and been hugged 4 times. Is that
normal
According to the World Almanac, 51.9% of
teens in America my school grade (11th)
have had sex, so I wonder if there is
something wrong with me. I kind of feel
unmanly because of this, is this a normal
reaction?
Some people say its because I'm nerdy
that I don't get girls, but I do mixed
martial arts, swimming, weight lifting,
and running so I'm not sure if thats the
case. Some people tell me its cuz I'm
Chinese, but I'm pretty well-rounded and I
don't just study all day. I'm not short
or anything, I'm 5 foot 10.5 with my hair
shaved off. I'm not skinny either, I'm
140-145 lbs of solid muscle (I can bench
press about 180lbs with proper form). I
dunno, I guess I want everyone's opinions.

I think you are fine.
A lot of people don't get girls right
away.
Do you talk to them? Do you have a lot of
friends that are girls?
Its only the the start of the year.

It's all about confidence in meeting
girls. They sense when you are confident
in yourself and can talk with them.
Talking with them is something you can
practice. If you have a friend who is a
girl or even a sister, maybe they can help
you meet some girls. In school, there are
plenty of opportunities to meet them, you
just have to get over the idea that you
think you're nerdy.
Many girls like nerdy guys as long as they
can relate to everyday things. You're a
runner. What about going out for
cross-country or track? You might meet
some girls with your interests. Sometimes
you have to put yourself out there and try
to talk to girls to meet them. Being
Chinese shouldn't slow you down because
many girls like all races. Remember, it
only takes one girl to get you and that
could turn into a stable relationship.
I was 18, a senior in high school and on
the football and track team when I had sex
for the first time...I benched 345 when I
was 195lbs...It is a lack of
confidence(still is) why I didn't have all
the girls falling over me back then...
with women outnumbering men like 7:1 or
something odds are pretty good of finding
anything you want...
This is going to sound kinda weird but I
wish when I was younger I would have taken
a dance class(or something like that) to
be one on one with a woman and overcome a
couple of fears I still have to this day
at 30 and I have 2 kids...

Yeah, im 16 also and have this same
problem! Its all about confidence buddy,
and iv got none!
Anyway, just walk tall and let yourself be
known.

Haha this is the convention for men
lacking confidence. Jeaston sir, there is
nothing wrong or weird sounding about
having to take a dance class. But MMA, you
are only 16, so much life in you left!
Guess what, I'm 19, still a virgin, still
saved my first kiss. Hugging... well I
lost count of that =). No, it really
wasn't an issue about getting a girl, I
just wanted to stay true to myself and
find somebody that will mean something to
me. Yes, it is all about confidence, women
have some sort of radar that can sense
your uneasiness and lack of confidence. I
still have a lot of low self esteem issues
from the past, but when it comes to
socializing now, I just barge in there
when I'm in the mood and talk like it was
destined to be. My trick I guess is, you
know how whenever you are considering
talking to some girls, whoever, and you
suddenly feel that freeze that gives you
second doubts and nervousness that usually
whispers "oh man, they are going to think
I'm an fool" (this is what I feel at
least), I just shove all that aside and go
F it, I'm going in. Ask more questions
(important ones though) then talking about
yourself though, girls love a listener.
But don't suddenly barge in with questions
that don't pertain to the situation. I
gained my self confidence with the help of
meeting my lovable girl friends actually.
They assured me of a lot of issues I had
such as my looks. Turns out I'm not ugly
haha. Good luck to you sir, don't let
people get to you with bull about being
chinese or nerdy, like everybody else here
said, there is somebody for everybody,
just a matter of whether or not you will
be confident enough to seek them.

yo man i was in the same boat as you were
when i was in highschool. No one liked me,
i was on the wrestling team, im 5'4 i
benched 180 and none of the girls would
like me. I never been kissed until i met
my girlfriend in sophtmore year of
college, and trust me she loved it that i
was a virgin. Dont lose ur virginity in
highschool cuz that caca is just puppy
love and not worth the heart break in the
end. Save it for college where it really
counts.
