How Tall Is Everyone? Posted: 09-24-07 17:05pm
I'm 5 foot 10.5 inches and I have no idea
how tall the male population is or how
diversely it is spread. So I decided to
post this survey! Please be honest
and record the most accurate height
available.
Note:
1. Most people are about 0.75 inches
taller in the morning than during the day
2. Removing your hair and socks can make
you 0.25-0.50 inches shorter.
Hope you all answer my poll!

I was born in 1942 in the center of
Glasgow, Most men at that time were small
built ,if we saw a tall man, wee knew he
may have come from the Highlands or
Islands of Scotland. (the reason givin at
that time was the Polution from factorys
+coal fires +smog.) In the city.

I don't really like the way this poll is
done. By 6 feet or under that includes
5'10 5'11 and 6'0, but Id be willing to
bet that most males are 5'8-5'11.

I am 18 years old and 6'2", everyone keeps
telling me that I am so tall, yada yada.
But if you go to my old high school or
even in my community now, kids who are
17-24 are all around the same height. A
new study shows that in the last 15 years,
the average height of guys 18-30 has
increased by 1.2 inches.

I'm 5'8.5" exactly. Most people tend to
overestimate their height by an inch or so
if they don't check.

That is true. Improved nutrition, medical
technology, and health-care knowledge
coupled with better genetics from
generations of evolution make humans
consistently taller. However, I did read
that scientists now predict humanity to be
at the height of its genetic height growth
since our understanding of nutrition
probably won't improve that much more and
cuz genetically speaking growing taller
didnt have any real benefits anymore or
something like that.
