Is this normal? Have any of you girls exp
this before or know someone who has? If
so... do you think this could effect my
breastfeeding when my daughter is born?
Also was wondering if any of you ladies
had any advice for breastfeeding, I want
to breastfeed my daughter but idk much
about it. Please let me know what you
think |
Your local health department should
provide you with a lot of free books and
info on breastfeeding. That's where I got
all my info. I plan to breastfeed when my
baby comes and the books really look
helpful and I feel more comfortable about
doing it now that I've read them.
And yes I too have always had one breast
larger than the other. My left side has
always been slightly larger than my right
side. Now that I'm pregnant it seems to be
about the same, maybe they are getting a
little more even but it could be an
illusion who knows. I'm just glad they are
swelling some! I've never really had any
boobs I was barely an A pre-pregnancy now
I'm a small B which is nice! I'm sure it
won't last too long though!

I just want to warn you guys that
breastfeeding can be painful.
I was going to breastfeed Kyleigh and that
lasted 3 days in the hospital before my
boobs were bleeding. It wasn't that she
was latched incorrectly, I guess I just
have sensitive boobs.
Don't be discouraged if after trying to
breastfeed, you feel that you no longer
want to or can without serious pain! I
would be crying during the whole feeding.

encourages me to try it but if it hurts
too bad and she wont latch on right then
dont hesitate to try and force it

Yeah, it's definitely not for everyone. At
least try to give all of the colostrum.
That's the good stuff. OOooooo it hurt so
badly!! Lanolin. You MUST get that stuff.
It numbs a little and doesn't have a
taste. It actually felt nice.

I'm planning on going natural as well. I'm
not really big into drugs, regardless if
it's for pain relief, because I don't like
the effects on me. Plus, my mom never had
any pain relief and she's had 7 kids, so I
think I can do without any drugs.

Welcome to the forum!!!
Congrats on the pregnancy! It's a
BEAUTIFUL thing!!
As for the drug free births...GO FOR IT!!
I gave birth to my daughter with no
medical intervention. No IV & no
Epidural. I had her within 3 hours of
getting to the hospital.
Yea, it hurt....a LOT...but it ended
eventually. Just a note of
encouragement...the baby coming out DOES
NOT hurt like you would imagine. The
contractions hurt worse than the baby
actually coming out!
It's possible ladies! But if you choose to
have an epi, you're just as strong! Birth,
no matter how it's done is an amazing
accomplishment!

I'm not really scared, just nervous about
the whole deal. I saw my cousin give birth
back in may, so that helped me to know
somewhat of what to expect. I'm more
nervous about not having anything for him
when he comes because I have no clue when
my mil is doing my shower.
