Q: Increased Nuchal Translucency With Septations

I am 13 weeks and 5 days pregnant, and I'll be 32 on my due date of 3/27/08. Yesterday, I had the NT scan ultrasound which showed an increased nuchal translucency measurement of 3.1 to 3.4 mm, with possible septations, which looked like several little dividing lines across the nuchal fold. If I use a formula I found online, I calculate that there is a 64-71% chance of an uncomplicated pregnancy and healthy baby - but I don't know how the possible septations affect those odds. The doctor said it could be nothing, or it could be Turner's Syndrome. I have an appointment with a genetic counselor, where I will have the blood test done, in 3 more agonizing days. They will also do a high resolution ultrasound at that time. I expect they are going to tell me I should have an amnio, which means I am facing 2-3 weeks of anxiety and worry. I think I would find it easier to face if I could get a better idea of what my baby girl's (the technician said she was 80% sure it was a girl) chances are of being OK. Can you help?
