Trying to Be Patient

Well ladies today is cd 32 for me and I am still waiting for af. I am not sure if I am late because this will only be my 2nd cycle since my m/c in July. It took me like 40 something days to get af after the m/c, so I don't know how regular my cycles are going to be now. This waiting is driving me nuts, I try not to think about it but it is super hard.

To make things worse today I received a parcel.....It was a parcel from Nestle. A cute cooler bag with a can of formula and a few other items. I had forgotten that I had joined the club. So then I started thinking maybe it is a sign that I possibly could be pregnant. I know that everyone will say to just take a test but I know that it may be too early because I tend to ovulate later in my cycle.
For the past week and a half I have had a lot of cramping, like as if af is going to start but it doesn't. Oh well I think that I am going to try to hold out until Thursday to test......hopefully I have enough will power. So I really didn't have a question, I just wanted to get it out because it kinda helps. So thanks for listening and hopefully everyone gets their Bfp really soon!!!!

Sending lots of baby dust to everyone ttc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd like to start by saying how sorry I am for your loss.

You are right, it can take a few cycles for your body to regulate itself after a loss. So, I can see why you would want to give it some more time before you test. How long were your cycles before the loss? I suggest going to a dollar store of some kind and getting some cheap tests. That way if the first is a bfn, you won't be discouraged and can test again as soon as you want.

Good luck with waiting until Thursday, it isn't to far. Make sure you let us know what the results are when you test!

See it is really hard to tell with my cycles because when I got pregnant I had just been on bc. I was off it for about a month before I got pregnant. I was on bc for about 8 months and before that I was on a bunch of fertility drugs because I was an egg donor for my aunt. So needless to say I don't have that much to go by. It is really frustrating....I am sure that you completely understand what I am talking about (:

As far as cheap tests the dollar stores here don't sell them. Walmart is about as cheap as it gets.

How many days post ovulation is it safe to test to get a reliable result.....I am pretty sure when I ovulated so I should be around 12po. I hope that I wrote that correctly...lol I don't think that I will get my Bfp because it really seems like af is on her way ): Ah well, we always have next month.

Many women can get bfps pretty early, and probably half will have something show up by 12 dpo (I start testing around 10 dpo) But, there are still plenty of women that don't show anything until af is due. It's really up to the individual pregnancy, not even the woman. It is really up to you and how you feel about seeing a bfn. Personaly, I have no problems with it, so I can test everyday and it doesn't get me down. But, if it would bother you to see a bfn, then you might want to wait until about 14 dpo. But, that's just my suggestion.

And you are right, if this month isn't it, you always have next month. That is a wonderful attitude to have. I wish I could feel that way every month!

I was told by my doctor that a OTC test will be positive 6-14 after implantation, and implantation takes 6-12 days after ovulation/conception to implant in the uterus. so another words it can take up to 1 week after your scheduled period to get a BFP.
