I have my first prenatal intake appointment on fri and I am curious what to expect? what do they do for the 1st app.?

a physical mainly, an ultra sound and thats when u get to ask all your questions too

my first appointment they did an ultrasound and a pap test
they will give you a urine test to make sure you dont have any bacterial infections and i *think* you get a culture test done too to check for claymidia(sp?)
they will tell you your EDD and about how far along you are

at my intake, it was just paperwork and going over my family history. i had my first appointment a couple weeks later, which included peeing in a cup and a physical exam. i also got an order for bloodwork that i had to complete within a week.
not everyone gets early ultrasounds, so don't go in expecting one. some people only get 1 ultrasound around 20 weeks.
