Yaz - Skipping Placebo Pills! Is This Okay? Posted: 09-26-07 23:25pm


I've been on yaz for about 5 months now.. and every time that i have taken the placebo pills and i get my period i have really intense pms. Not anger, just extreme sensitivity to things, feeling overwhelmed too quickly over things i usually would just shrug off, and just crying a lot. but its only when im on my period. it takes a few days for the hormones on the pink pills to kick in so i feel a lot better for the next three weeks.. sooooo... i talked to a friend who takes yaz also and they said that their doctor recommended just staying with the pink pills and not taking any placebos. she said that she had her period once in 3 months and a little bit of spotting.. i was just wondering if it would be alright if i started doing the same thing? im sick of feeling awful and tearful on my period (when before when i wasnt on yaz i felt fine)

Go for it! You may get funny spotting for a month just to warn you, but patience wins out!
