I am a 29 year old female with no prior
history of seizures, but on feb. 26, 2004
while at work I had a chronic seizure
which lasted 10 - 20 minutes.
I had a ct and an mri which the doctors
had a suspicion of tuberous sclerosis.
I was sent to a specialist who does not
think this is the problem, in fact he
wants 3 weeks to figure it out, and
ordered an eeg.
Doing research on the internet I found a
medical problem called heterotopia (of
which different types exist) which gray
matter in the brain ends up where it
shouldnt be. This can cause seizures.
I will see the doctor in a few days to see
if he has anything on this.
Does anyone have a clue about this or is
experiencing it?
Please respond to this post.
Thank you
