Like you are not attached?
That's normal when experiencing panic. It
is a normal part of an anxiety disorder,
too. But the good thing is that anxiety
disorders can be easily treated if you
find a good, qualified therapist,
especially one who practices
cognitive/behavioral treatment. Have you?
If who are seeing now isn't working, I'd
shop around and find someone else. Are you
on medication? You could talk to your
therapist about that too, medication can
help if you want it.

Hi Worry! Posted: 09-30-07 09:18am
Glad to meet you. Sorry under such
stressful circumstances. Anxiety and Panic
disorder can very much diassociate us from
the world. Kinda like being lost. Been
there, done that way to many time myself.
I feel lost and no where to go. What do I
do? Where can I go? I is hell I know. You
have to sit down when this happens and
calm yourself with soothing music or
something. Bring yourself back to reality.
The world we live in is constantly going
by us at a very fast pace. And sometimes
way to much for us to keep in pace with.
Slow down. Only take on as much as you
feel you can handle.
My advice would be to meditate more. Take
some down time for yourself. Some calm
time. It really does help at those really
bad times. Just make sure you are alone.
Tell people not to call, unplug your
phone. Do whatever it take to have peace
and quiet.
Hugs and I am thinking about ya.

anxiety and panic can cause a dissociative
disorder called depersonalization, which
makes you feel like you are in a dream and
disconnected from reality. I had it for 9
months before they figured out what it
was.
antidepressants and anxiety meds got rid
of it for me.
