Worried About This
Posted: 03-27-04 00:03am

Sad I have noticed that I have some little bumps on the outside skin of my vagina. They dont hurt, but I have some itching there. I was wondering if it could be because I shave sometimetimes, or could it be gential herpes. I am married and only have realtion with my husband. Does anyone have any ideas as tp what this could be?

Above all, go check with your doctor as soon as possible, but it is very likely that the bumps that you are describing can be ingrown hairs, or irritated skin as a result of the shaving. The same irritation may occur in the armpits as well.
A trip to the doc is the very best way to put your mind at ease, and get an accurate assesment. The best of luck to you!

I have noticed that the bumps are all in one area. I have a doctors appt soon. Could a yeast infection cause these bumps to appear?

I don't think that a yeast infection could be the cause, although if your skin is irritated, the discharge from a yeast infection could be irritating it even more. Are these bumps on the inner or outer labia? Is there a puss inside?, or does it appear to be more of a rash?

Have you just started shaving? If you did just start and they were never there before, then i'm sure it's from that.

They could be warts. I was told that a person can have them and not even know about it until later down the road. The same thing happened to me and it turns out that either my husband or I got them from a past relationship from almost a year ago. They just now started to show now that I am pregnant and my immune system is weaker. I hope that for you they are just ingrown hairs or something minor.
