Do Models Have to Start Young to Be Successful? Posted: 09-30-07 13:12pm


i was watching something on victoria secret's models and almost ALL of them started at the very latest at 16 years old(if not 13,14,or 15)... now they're doing well (making millions).. but i was wondering if that is true of models in general. if that is the case... then when are they 'over the hill'... that must be lik at 25 years of age.... what a short career... how can they live off that?

because they make enough to last them a while

modeling should never be the only career you have

i modeled for a while and i loved it
but i could never see it as a "job" or "career"

what is the difference between a supermodel and a fashion model? do you have to be a fashion model to then become a supermodel? and is it just me... or do some of the girls that are victoria secret models not have very big boobs at all... lik they look almost flat... maybe it's just the angle

who cares if they have big boobs? who needs big boobs? those girls are beautiful and work really hard to get where they are in life there are lots of different types of models there are runway promo fashion photography magazeine TV batheing suit porn models lots and lots of different kinds...it just depends on what you want to do

welll i meant that they didn't have big boobs... then what is a supermodel?... is that like one that's just popular?

they dont have to have big boobs lol boobs dont mean sh** you can have big or small boobs and be very pretty a supermodel is a very highly paid well reconized model like tyra banks

hahaha.. wellz... modeling is too far out of my reach... but i guess i could be a hand model.... if they people like to see warts that is... haha... (i have one on my palmm ....anoying bugger)

Booo so what your saying its too late for me? How very sad... Eh well moving on with life. They make tons of money, funny how the world works but its a bit sad when I think about the life some models must deal with. Those who really want to be the best and all, and then once they hit that age, they get forgotten and replaced by someone younger then themselves. =( But thats life right.

i think the only reason why some people say you should get into modelling at a young age, because of the kind of lifestyle modelling has if you persue it as a career. If you stick with something at a young age, you kind of adapt to that lifestyle of watching what you eat, exercise, and you stick with it. sometimes its hard to get into agencies or get modeling positions, but if you start sooner your noticed more, you have experience, and you kind of have a feel of what agiencies are looking for.

yes part of this is true
however a model agency usually wont give a rats a*$ how much expierience you have
if your pretty
if youve got what it takes
and if THEY can make money off of you
then youre in
thats how the buissness goes

after falling pregnanti had to step out of modeling because unless i wanted to do maternaty (no thanks) then id have to stop. i do intend on going back next fall though Very
