Blasting Kidney Stones + Stent - What will it feel like? Posted: 10-02-07 18:58pm
I am 23 and have a stone that is 8 mm in
my right kidney. On Friday I am going to
the hospital to have it blasted and a
stent put in. I have in the past had them
go in after a stone on my left side. I
was wondering if anyone has any advice of
what it might feel like to have the stent
in for a week??

Hi Posted: 10-02-07 19:24pm
I see no one has responded, just wanted to
say hello and good luck on Friday. My
husband has had kidney stones for years,
but luckily has passed them on his own. My
brother on the other had is a board
certified "balsting specialist". HE works
with the surgeron with the new
instrumentation on blasting kidney stones.
I've never heard of having a stint, I gues
if you have dealt with kidney stones
girlfriend ,you can deal with just about
anything. I wish you all the good luck in
the world for Friday.Wish I could have
been of more help!@

Hi Posted: 10-22-07 00:25am
I have hypocitraturia (just Diagnosed) in
the past 5 months I have passed more then
30 stones ranging from 5mm to sand. I have
not had any blasted but I have had a
removal with a stent put in. I'm sorry to
tell you this but for me the stent was far
worse then any of the stones. I see that
I'm telling you to late so just know the
you should feel much better about 1-2
weeks from the day the stent is taken out.
As for any advise large amounts of pain
killers. Let me know if you have any
questions.
