Becoming Fertile

This is just a note to say how I managed to concieve after thinking I couldn't after being diagnosed with Endometriosis.

Firstly I stopped using the pill about seven years ago.

Next I stopped using chemically laden sanitary products like tampons.
- and noticed that almost from the second or third period, my periods had started to become lighter and healthier. The blood is supposed to come out of the body, not be wedged up there in a ball of wadding that is shedding fibers inside you. Disgusting!

For the last four years my husband and I have been trying to conceive. nothing was happening.

I became vegetarian. I still eat eggs and cheese (and I would eat fish if I liked the taste), but meat, chicken and milk are out. Again I noticed that after a year of being vegetarian, my periods regulated themselves and were now like clockwork. Apart from the fact that farm animals are treated with brutality, the idea that their terror pushes all these adrenalin chemicals into the meat and that we eat it is scary. I feel less stressed as a vegetarian, and I look much better. (Lost weight too) The milk industry are very happy to push milk at you saying how healthy it is. Again, do some research. You will find that milk is not good for us. It is contaminated with cow's blood and pus and frequently contaminated with pesticides, hormones, and antibiotics. It can cause osteoporosis and it certainly causes weight gain and allergies. Organic yogurts and kefir can be very good for you however.

I stopped taking medication for period pain. I know this may seem scary, but bare in mind I had extremely painful endometriosis. That is like period pain times 100. The more painkillers I took, the more I would need.

Again, the pain got slightly less bad with each month and as I learned to breath with it. (I used to have to take six giant prescription painkillers every day) Now instead of five days of agony, it is half an hour of pain at the beginning of the period. If you are open minded, smoke a couple of puffs of marijuana instead of taking painkillers. This is not a moral issue. Women have been using this herb from mother nature for millennia to help period pain with no side effects compared to the dangers of taking over the counter drugs. Having said that, my pain got better even without using anything apart from a hot water bottle and aromatherapy rubs. (marjoram and clary sage in organic sunflower oil on my belly)

Cut down drinking alcohol, gave up smoking. No need to say why this is important.

Started taking a good womens multivitamin. Strong nails, shiny hair are the benefit of this!

For yeast infections take probiotics, and mix a small pot of natural probiotic yogurt with 1 drop each of lavender and tea tree oil and then use a pippette to push into the vagina. Drink fresh cranberry juice (not the sugar water kind) So much better (and cheaper) for you than Canesten! (research independant Canesten side effects... very frightening)

So all these changes had a very positive effect, as my cycles became like clockwork, and the toxic meat products left my system, I had started to regain health.

It takes time to make the changes, they don't happen overnight. It's got something to do with adjusting your frame of mind. It's easier to find washable sanitary towels comforting and wonderful if you havent been brainwashed into finding your period disgusting. It's easier to cut out meat if you research the welfare of farmed animals and do it for compassion. It's easier to suck up the pain of the first few unmedicated periods if you trust your body will take over and start creating it's own painkillers. In this society women are trained to be so cut off and ignorant and ashamed about our bodies and the way we can help ourselves. Doing the things that I did above may not make you fertile, but if you open your mind and try even some of it, you might be surprised.

So far my pregnancy is going very well, with no morning sickness. I have never felt so healthy in my life.
