Q: Pregnancy Question...

i am feeling very nervous about my pregnancy. I feel like every move i make i may be injuring my baby and causing a miscarriage. A lot of people I have talked to say that they had a miscarriage. Is this a common thing? What can cause it to happen? Am i just over reacting? Question

I think you are overreacting. The baby is surrounded in fluid, which absorbs most all the shock. The baby's not going to get hurt unless you hurl your stomach through a wall or something-- or fall down some stairs... etc.

As long as it doesn't hurt you, usually it won't hurt the baby as far as moving around and all.

In the early weeks of pregnancy, you won't harm your baby if you do anything - short of stabbing yourself in the stomach, your baby is completely safe.

It is rare that a miscarriage would happen if you were over-active or even if you fell. Miscarriages can be caused by chromosomal abnormalities and there is nothing anyone can do about them.

How far along are you?

every little thing is scary in the beginning, i would even be scared to sleep on my stomach before it even grew at all. sex was out of the question i feared my husband would be squishing the baby or something. Some pains can be normal. in early pregnancy i would get a sharp pain every time i sneeze , even not pregnant sometimes. But if the pain is really bad or your bleeding then id go to the ER and get checked, hopefully youve set up your first obgyn appointment already. The first few months are the hardest.

I had a m/c in July and it wasn't because of anything that I did. So please try not to worry yourself......being so scared can really make for a long and depressing nine months. This is supposed to be a happy time. It is completely normal to feel some aches and pains...your uterus is beginning to grow so it can accommodate your little bean for the next nine months. As long as the pain isn't unbearable and you don't have any bleeding I am sure that you and your baby are fine. So remember to try and enjoy every moment of your pregnancy, you can't ever get this time back. By the way....I had 2 healthy pregnancies before my m/c......so you never really know if it will happen to you. Some things are just beyond our control. So stay positive and healthy and I am sure that you will be fine!!

Good luck and wishing you a happy and healthy nine months.

Millions of women are pregnant every day. I know this is the first time for you - but your body isn't different than everyone else's. Your pregnancy might be slightly different, but for the most part, all the same life rules are going to apply to you and your pregnancy as well.

Women jog. Work on farms. Swim. Bike. Do the same things when they are pregnant that they do when they aren't. Pregnancy is not some condition that makes you a delicate flower. In the last few months you need to slow down a little because of the largess of the belly and how tired you become - but until then, ROCK ON!

Another Question....
i found out today that i have a bladder infection... will htis effect my baby's development? I mean it is a bacteria inside me... does it get to my baby? Also can i take the prenatel pills with the bladder pills? I am in the middle of switching dr ( i dont like this first place i went to--> they perscribed the bladder my new place presrcibed the prenatel) I can't get a hold of my new dr and the old one suggests not ever taking prenatel pills...

Yes. You can take them both.

No. A UTI will not have any affect on your baby at all. It is in your bladder. Your baby is in your uterus. Never the two shall meet Smile

Don't. It is only pregnancy Smile This is just the very beginning of the rest of this child's life. Don't start it out being a worry wart.

You still have a very long way to go in the pregnancy - let alone life after that.

Relax.
