Q: How Long Should We Wait Before We Try For Another Baby ???

My husband and I are planning on having 2 children. I am 33 weeks pregnant at the moment, and he would really like for me to become pregnant again as soon as possible after the birth of this one. He feels he is getting a little to old to wait to have the second one, and I really want to do this. However, I am very concerned about the tole it will take on my body, becoming pregnant so soon after having the first. I was hoping I could get some feedback from others who have had 2 children immediately one after the other, and whether or not you found it caused you any concerns or problems. All comments would be appreciated.

I've always heard that you should give your body 6 months to recover. I know it will be hard to wait, but it's best for your well being and increases the chances of having a healthier pregnancy next time around. Hope that helps!

Just for your sanity you should wait at least a little while. I mean, do you really want to be caring for your newborn 24/7 while you are pregnant again? Give your body at least the six months. I think your husband can wait another year!

Thankyou so much everyone for your replies. We have decided to wait. Hopefully that will enable us to enjoy bubby, and give me a chance to get back into shape before trying to conceive again. Hubby is very understanding and is happy to wait.
