Light period, nausea and other pregnancy symptoms Posted: 10-05-07 21:27pm
okay... so I'm a little worried..... i had
my period from september 29-october 3;
which is sort of normal, but it was a lot
lighter than usual......
but I've also been sick lately.....
for about two weeks now I've been feeling
sort of nausious at random times; then on
monday, i had to leave school early
because i felt so awful and it seemed the
longer the day went on, the worse i felt.
tuesday i just skipped school all
together, because i woke up feeling like
caca (extremely nausious, threw up twice
in my mouth but by the time i got to the
bathroom i didn't feel like i had to throw
up anymore, a headache, and a sore
throat). later tuesday evening though, i
felt perfectly fine again....
for the rest of the week i had off and on
nausciousness, random headaches, i've been
really snappy and easily irritated, my
boobs have gotten bigger, i've gained
weight both on the scale and around the
belly, and i'm alot more tired lately.
i'm really worried about this and my next
doctor's appointment isn't until monday
morning. i realize that i should take an
ept just to check and possibly calm my
nerves a bit (or not calm them) but
honestly i really don't trust them all
that much at all.... two of my friends all
had pregnancy symptoms, took 3 ept's, all
of them resulting negative, and nine
months later, out popped their
newborns.... maybe it was just their bad
luck...... i don't know.... but i'm
worried and don't know if i should wait
until monday, or take an ept now just to
see what it says for shits and giggles...
please someone help?

If you just had a period, it's unlikely
you're pregnant. I would keep your
appointment for Monday - your doctor will
be able to evaluate your symptoms better
than we can, and will likely give you a
pregnancy test while you're there.
Good luck.

thanks... it's greatly appreciated...
all the symptoms just scare me...mainly
because two reasons...
1. i know people who have still had
periods when they were pregnant... but it
was only one or two and then they went
away...
2. i have all of these symptoms that say
pregnancy but are also the same symptoms
for other things........ which is honestly
slightly aggrivating because you can't
know for sure what it is until you're
diagnosed just because many things have
the same symptoms as pregnancy.... uhh!!
don't you jus thate life sometimes?!?
lol... jp

Are you using any form of birth control?
It is unlikely as you had a period - yes
some women do have 'periods' through
pregnancy but this isn't common.
Go to your appointment tomorrow and ask
them to do a blood test as this can detect
lower amounts of hcg than hpt's

yes; i was and as of yesterday, still am
using birth control.... but yesterday i
ran out so if i am not pregnant, then i
need to get more of that tomorrow too...
but i also realize that birth control is
not 100% effective
