It's My Birthday & I'll Cry If I Want Too (+pics)

That should have been the theme song today
for Kaylee's party!
The morning started off perfect .. Shane
got home at about quarter to 8, he was on
nights lastnight. I was still in bed when
he got home & he tried sneaking
upstairs to our room but Kaylee heard him.
He got her out of her crib, changed her
diaper & brought her into our room
& laid her in bed with us for a little
bit. The 3 of us just laid there, laughing
& having a good time. Then Kaylee
& I went downstairs, I got her her
breakfast & threw a load of laundry
in. We had to be at Mr. Z's by 10am to get
her cakes so we left the house about
quarter after 9, stopped in at Walmart to
get some last minute things we needed then
headed over to get the cakes. We left
there & I was halfway home when I
realized I forgot the ice cream, so I had
to shoot back over to town to pick some
up. I got home about 11 ish, Kaylee
usually takes her nap around this time, so
I fed her her bottle & she fell
asleep. Well usually I can put her in her
crib & she'll wake up but fall back to
sleep. Today that wasn't happening. She
cried for about 10 minutes until I went
back up to get her.. I rocked her a little
bit, she was tired out but fighting it
something awful! She still wouldn't fall
asleep. Well noon rolls around & I
still haven't had a shower yet & there
was still some decorating to be done so I
had no choice but to wake Shane up because
people were suppose to start getting there
around 1 or so. Shane got Kaylee calmed
down & I took my shower.. My friend
Christine was the first one to show up,
she came from Philly (About a 4 hour
drive) just to celebrate Kaylee's birthday
with us. After that people just started
rolling in. I was so happy, almost
everyone I invited showed up!! I gave
everyone the grand tour of the cabin since
it was the first time a lot of them have
seen it. I got nothing but GOOD comments
which shocked me! My family is like the
family of negativity. They all told me how
they loved the living room & how the
color of the kitchen was really nice &
they all LOVED Kaylee's room! We all
visited for about an hour then had Kaylee
start opening her gifts.. Keep in mind she
still had no nap so she wasn't even close
to being happy. I guess to make a long
story short - She made out awesome! She
got so many fun toys & oh my god, the
clothes! Her Godfather had to have spent
well over $300 on clothes for her. He got
her 3 winter coats, 5-6 long sleeve
onesies, some pants & lots more..It's
nuts! & she got tons of clothes from
everyone else. She got a bunch of new
books which is something we were really
needing! She ended up going to bed at 5pm
lol, long day! Well enough talking, here
are pictures!!!!!!

Thank you!! She was so miserable all day
until we put that cake in front of her! I
guess we should have done that first, then
she would have had more energy for the
gifts!

OMG she looks like she had a blast!! So
did the rest of the family and friends. I
adore the pics with her in her cake. Shes

especially the kitchen! who sprung for
that? I love her new carseat its adorable!
its very girly but in a sweet way where as
macys new one is PINK! I love the ones of
her getting that hat off, I dont know y
they even make hats for babies mine never
leave them on. What a lucky girl to have
such a great family!

Adorable pics! I'm glad everything turned
out for you! Too bad Kaylee didn't get a

Thanks Laura! Kaylee would scream bloody
homicide everytime we tried putting that
hat on her head! We will definately never
forget her first birthday lol! She was in
the worst mood.

yup
yup yup! My stepmom was desperate for her
to wear hers in her portraits and she kept
ripping it off her head, so it's next to
her in the shot. Plus Alyvia was trying to
rip the feather bits off the top.
