I would never make her do
such a thing. It freaks me out to think I
would have ever even considered it after
viewing the pictures. To each their
own....
Sadie, I am just curious about something.
I have been interested in the way those
types of pictures effect different people.
If these aren't too personal, I wonder if
you could answer a few questions?
1. What did you think abortion entailed
before you saw those pictures, back when
you would have wanted your daughter to
have one?
2. what do you think abortion entails
now, after you saw those pictures?
3. what is your education level?
4. if you finished college, did you take
any science courses there?
Thanks!!!

Are you male or female, Bautistan? If
you're male, you're allowed an opinion of
course and you're very welcome in this
debate. Just keep in mind that men do not
have a right to control a woman's body,
since men do not own women.

Yes, I got my GED and went to college. I
did take plenty of science courses but
they never showed me anything about
abortion. I thought that when they did an
abortion that the baby didn't have a heart
beat and you couldn't tell what it was.
So, when I saw those pictures where the
baby was cut into pieces and it showed
their little hands and feet, it freaked me
out. I never thought you would be able to
tell what it was. I don't down anyone for
their choices.. I believe each person
should be able to do what they want with
their bodies, but I am so glad I didn't
make that choice not knowing what really
happens. About my daughter, I told her
over and over please listen to me and not
make the same choices I did. Before, I saw
those pictures... I probably would have
made her get an abortion if she got
pregnant before she was 18, because I
wouldn't have wanted her to struggle like
I had to. Now, I will let her make her own
choices, but I would show her what I saw
and let her take it from there. I am
thankful for this forum... It has given me
a change of heart about this. Thanks all

Be aware some pictures you see on the net
are fake like Eiri said.. but there are
ones that are real. The older the fetus
gets the more you can see the hands and
feet! After all they are developing human
beings..

Sadie.. look at birth places they will
show you the size of a child developing in
a non-bias picture..
here is a site that shows the developing
of a embryo.. week by week. And you will
see little feet at 7 weeks..
This is what gets aborted in the MAJORITY
of abortions. The pictures you saw were
fake.

Second Thought Posted: 11-01-07 13:39pm
Last night I looked at alot of different
websites about abortion and the different
ways they do it. Don't you have to be
atleast 8 weeks pregnant before they will
do one? I looked at the picture of an
embryo at 8 weeks and it looks like it is
a human to me... That was all I needed to
see to change my mind about it... I was
misimformed about it before. Like I said,
I thought it didn't even have a human form
yet... Believe me.... What other people do
is their own business and I would not tell
someone that they were wrong in their
choices when it come down to something
like this.. but it is just not something I
would want to do after the information I
have read and the pics that I saw. I
told my husband before I came to this
forum that there would be no questions
about it if my daughter got pregnant. I
would take her and have one done... This
morning I talked to him about it and told
him I had changed my mind . He said that
would be a huge mistake not to.. He said
you would probably be raising it. I said,
oh well. I would do what I had to do. If
she didn't want to keep it, we could give
it to someone that would love it... He
would want nothing to do with it. I
guess it would be bad around my house if
something like that ever happened.
Hopefully, it will never come down to
that... I keep her on a tight leash...but
my mom did me to and I still got around
it.. I guess that is what worries me the
most. Thanks for replying

Good for you.. sounds like you did some
home work. I posted the pregnancy site..
It is a non- bias site and shows you
stage by stage the development of a
child..

If I were to go by just this one part of
Cambion's entire post, I would agree with
you, xphile.
However, that is taken out of context and
not what she meant at all. Here is the
entire quote, which I agree with:

I think women who abort are
stronger. I feel it takes a lot sometimes
to stand in the face of retarded
protesting pro-lifers, to do something
their families, friends and partners may
object to, and to think more about whether
or not they can afford or properly support
the child even if it is very wanted and
realize, in some cases, that they cannot
afford a baby at that time or are just
plain not ready for one. Some women can
abort without a second thought, but for
others it's an agonizing decision.
Women who
keep unplanned babies when they know they
can't afford them or can't care for them
properly or find people to help care for
them properly are just plain stupid and I
pity no one in that type of situation but
the child. Some women tend to think
that babies make everything perfect, fix
broken relationships/marriages, that God
will provide for them and that everything
will overall be okay. These are usually
the children who grow up in poverty or
with only one parent or in the
system.

No, in fact the majority of abortions are
done by this time.

Somehow I don't find you to be genuine,
here. Nobody gets fooled as easily as you
seem to be.
I hope you let your daughter decide for
herself, before you force her to endure a
pregnancy and the horror and agony of
giving birth against her will.
I have a daughter, and it will be over my
dead body that anybody forces that kind of
torture on her.
Look at the difference between the
pictures of embryos at week 5 and at week
6.
Even an amateur can see the inaccuracy.
Also, they are blown up.
If you really want to see the stages of
development, at their actual size, with
no distortion, the preeminent and most
accurate pictures and descriptions are at
my LINK.

I don't think www.pregnancy.org

it says the weeks of the site you show.,.

There are at least two foetal development
guides on pregnancy.org, and they can't
seem to agree on when certain things
happen. Reliable!

Fooled....... Posted: 11-01-07 14:18pm
Ok... i have my human growth and
developement book right in front of me...
I am looking at it right now..... at 6 and
7 weeks... they have a human shape... not
fully developed yet.... but you can see
what it is... are you saying this book is
misinforming me to? It has fetal
stages...... also pulled out the Human
A&P book..... I am looking at it....
it says in weeks 5 through 7 the
embroyonic body and face develop a more
human like appearance.... I am looking at
pictures...... I am not easily
fooled....... that is your opinion.. I
was just looking for the facts.... it is
what i found. These books do not talk
about abortion.... so I was saying I was
misinformed about the way they did it...
how many weeks they were when they did
it... and if it already had a heart beat
at the time of it.... I was told that you
had to be atleast 8 weeks before they
would give an abortion...to make sure they
got all of it out..... Im not saying that
is fact.... just what I was told.
Again..... it will be my daughters
choice... but I will let her see the site
and read many books on it before she makes
a dicision... She will not be mislead like
I was..... That is all I am saying... She
will be the one who would have to live
with her dicision... not me.

Whoever told you this was wrong (and there
is never a guarentee they will "get all of
it" regardless of gestation, although
incomplete abortions are not common)
