If he's the zygote's father, should she tell @ pregnancy ? Posted: 10-07-07 01:00am
I didn't put this in any of the pregnancy
forums because it deals more with the
relationship than the pregnancy.
One of my best friends found out his
girlfriend is knocked up, and considering
she has cheated on him more than once, he
has reason to believe the zygote may not
be his. She had her pregnancy confirmed by
a doctor and he asked her numerous times
how far along she was, to which her reply
was outright refusal to give him this
information. Now, unless I am mistaken,
don't doctors usually tell the mother how
far along she is when she comes in to get
tested for pregnancy?
She also got very huffy with him when he
said he wanted a paternity test done. From
what he's told me, there is a chance it
could be his, but if it was undoubtedly
his, why would she get offended by being
asked to get the paternity test done or
why would she refuse to tell him the date
of conception? My only thought to this
would be maybe he'd find out the date of
conception and the date they had
unprotected sex wouldn't match up...
I'm not sure what to think of this; I know
I'm probably being overly anxious for my
friend, but still. If he is the zygote's
father, should he not have a right to know
how pregnant the mother is??
